36 World of Warcraft accounts at once? This guy claims, "Yep!"

Playing MMO games can be an expensive enterprise even if you pay just one monthly fee. But what about 36 World of Warcraft accounts, all of which you can control at the same time? One man claims to have done just that. In a message board post on the DualBoxing.com web site this guy not only makes that claim but has a picture of his gaming set-up that shows all of his 11 PCs running those accounts.

According to the post he's a legit user; he pays a whopping $5711 in World of Warcraft subscription costs per year to have his 36 accounts. And what about when the next expansion pack, Wrath of the Lich King, is released next month? This guy is prepared, saying, "I plan to be at the store when it opens and will purchase 36 copies of it. With tax, it should be about $1500 for all of them." Blizzard must love this guy.

He could be using a program that allows him to play all those accounts at once and its not illegal either. Its not practical by any means though to play that many accounts at once but it is feasible.
For anyone assuming it isnt legal also, Blizzard themselves have said it is ok to use these programs to play more then one character at a time. It isnt a bot or an automated process so to them that is fine, just like all the Addons for the UI.Posted at 2:23PM on Oct 14th 2008 by Steve

Definately sounds like he is on a trust fund or something crazy 36 accounts that is 35 more that what I have. maybee he has some sort of allergy that he cant go out in the lite or at night. I am amazed.

I have known more than 2 guys spent more than 14-20 hours a day in his favorite game for years, the different here are they don't have that kind of data center.
