No EndWar PC right now because of piracy?

Yesterday Videogaming247.com reported that a PC port of Ubisoft's upcoming RTS game Tom Clancy's EndWar would likely be released at some point. Today that same web site states that the reason a PC version isn't being release day-and-date with the console ports is because of piracy.

The game's creative director Michael de Plater states, "To be honest, if PC wasn't pirated to hell and back, there'd probably be a PC version coming out the same day as the other two. But at the moment, if you release the PC version, essentially what you're doing is letting people have a free version that they rip off instead of a purchased version. Piracy's basically killing PC." Of course that doesn't explain why another major Ubisoft release, Far Cry 2, is indeed coming out on the PC on the same day as the console versions.

This is just another way that legitimate PC game buyers get screwed by scumbag pirates. How f*cking hard is it to pay for the f*cking media you consume? If you can't afford it or don't want to pay then don't play the f*cking game.

they must be living in a la-la land...what about the 360?? and u can play them online aswell when they stealthed patched where as pc u'd have to go throu alot more touble to do that and go on cracked servers...which isnt a problem with the 360 version...WOT A BUNCH OF TWATSPosted at 12:47PM on Oct 8th 2008 by Barny

I hope they're ready for Assassin's Creed-like PC sales again. By the time it came out on PC, there were console copies for sale from $25.

How many idiots are going to keep up this line of logic? There is sh*tloads of piracy on consoles, and shitloads on PC's.

Then again, Ubisoft makes shitty games so who cares. let them ignore us PC gamers. Long live Blizzard, long live Stardock.

Assassins creed for PC still doesn't work well. They never fixed the huge bugs. Why would I ever buy another ubisoft game?

OK brothers just tell me one thing.. if you cant find a game in your region what should you do . i also wants it. i cant go to another country to buy it. and second thing i am a student i don't have a credit card to buy on eBay. so what other choice i have ? just tell me a solution i will buy it even if it worth 100 $. truth me i can pay that if someone give me original seal copy..Posted at 9:50PM on Oct 31st 2008 by MAK

thei don't realese the game in same day because is not rdy ... is more dificult to create pc games than a game for ps ... and maybe this is what i belive .
Abot piraty i don't complain company who create games . whit actualaty lvl of piraty they earn milion and milion dolars/euro .
