Today has been a busy day of announcements and changes in the business side of games. We've already had a shake-up at THQ and a promotion for one of the NCsoft team. Now comes word that Electronic Arts has named a new person to head up their highly popular Sims game label.
Rod Humble, who has been with the Sims brand since 2004, has officially been named as the new Executive Vice President and Head of the Sims label for EA. Humble takes over from Nancy Smith who will stick with the label on some special projects until a new position at EA is named for her in the coming months. The next big release for the Sims brand is The Sims 3 which is due for release in Feb. 2009.
