Combat Arms to officially launch Wednesday
It's been in open beta testing for some time now but this morning Nexon America announced that their free-to-play first person shooter Combat Arms is ready for prime time. The game will officially launch on Wednesday, October 1 and open up i's "Black Market" where players can pay real money for in-game items and even purchase whole in-game mercenaries.
Combat Arms will still have a free componant where players will have access to over 40 weapons, eight map, four gameplay types and more but the "Black Market" will give them access to even more via paying real money for items and even for things like name changes and stats resets. Combat Arms represents a growing list of "free-to-play" FPS titles. Outspark just launched the open beta for their title Blackshot and Electronic Arts is in closed beta testing for their own entry, Battlefield Heroes.
