We already knew that Epic Games had no plans to make a PC port of their upcoming Xbox 360 game Gears of War 2, but in a new chat with Total Video Games, Epic lead designer Cliff Bleszinski gives a few more of his reasons why the PC platform has become less of a factor in Epic's game plan for their future projects.Bleszinski is quoted as saying, "The PC right now is a fair amount different to what it was back in the day, with all the badly integrated video chips. Here's the problem right now; the person who is savvy enough to want to have a good PC to upgrade their video card, is a person who is savvy enough to know bit torrent to know all the elements so they can pirate software. Therefore, high-end videogames are suffering very much on the PC." He added, "Right now, it makes sense for us to focus on Xbox 360 for a number of reasons. Not least PCs with multiple configurations and piracy." Ouch.

Thanks for leaving us out in the cold CLIFFY B. All I have to say is I own GoW on the 360 and on my PC and I love the PC version a lot more with its DX10 features. I also own Unreal Tournament on both 360 and PC and hands down it goes to my PC. I can't be the only one who feels betrayed by Epic for being a paying customer! I work for Game Crazy at the corporate office and get console games for free but pay for my PC games. I'd much rather pay to play quality than get something for free that is locked down by Microsoft. (Mods Level creator ect...) Go F*** yourself CLIFFY B!Posted at 4:30PM on Sep 30th 2008 by Dk87
