Earlier today we reported that Mirror's Edge for the PC would not be released alongside its console counterparts. That fate apparently won't happen with the PC version of Prince of Persia, the latest revamp of the classic third person action game franchise from Ubisoft. Today the publisher announced a release date of December 2 for the PC port, which is the same date as the game's console versions.

As we have reported previously, this new version has a more illustrative art style than the past entries in the series. It also ditches the temporal gameplay effects as well, focusing more on platform and combat. This game also has an AI buddy (actually an AI girl buddy) to team up with in the game's levels.
