This week the BigCast returns to wrap up our favorite titles from PAX 2008. Dead Space, Mirror's Edge, Left 4 Dead and Fallout 3 are all hot topics this week as we close-out our PAX coverage. Heated battles ensue over the Battlefield Heroes Beta, Fallout 3's character models and the lack of a wing-man in Megaton. Also, the outtakes make a triumphant return with a live first viewing of a classic poorly acted line! We finally turn 10 in this BigCast!

I don't think your complaints about BF:H's barriers to entry are very valid ones, especially the character customization. For the casual crowd, customizing like that is very enticing. Look at The Sims and where that franchise has gone. That's a very good decision for attracting the casual people. This won't look like a barrier to them. Additionally, it's their business model. They have to entice you to purchase additional things or there won't be a game to play for free in the first place. It's the trade-off.

The name thing sounds like a bug, that'll definitely be fixed. And I can't see how they won't have it working in FireFox by launch seeing as it is more used than IE and crossplatform. I'm not even going to hold my breath for my Opera support, though.

As far as IE crashing, does that happen in only BF:H's site? Or everywhere? Sounds like you might have malware if it's everywhere.Posted at 7:18PM on Sep 8th 2008 by Sokkratez

By the way, Sept. 25 marks the day that Zune 3.0 software is coming out. Maybe you could... I don't know,... make it available on the Zune Marketplace??? Goddamn guys, I have to transfer my iTunes Bigcast folder to my Zune every week (I have iTunes only for your podcast, by the way!!!)

You can add custom RSS links to your Zune feed and it will behave just as if you were getting the link from Marketplace. You can even recommend it to be added so it gets there faster.
