Your title is somewhat inaccurate, as it has already been released on PS3 and X360 much earlier this year. The only other console it will be released on is PS2 and it is a graphically toned down version containing all of the same items from the "current gen" versions.

Honestly for all of those people thinking of getting it, I would say give it a big muthaeffing pass. I bought it at full retail (because my wife and I love the co-op) and we both found it to be better looking but the gameplay itself was pretty terrible. The attack system has taken a turn for the worst, the enemy pop-in/pop-out is as bad as it can be, and the Musou modes are much more limited then the last games. I recommend that everyone get Warriors Orochi 2 (PS2 and X360)when it comes out next month. It doesnt look as pretty but the gameplay is more fun and has 93 characters to choose from. I am not sure a PC version has been announced, but I would still recommend this to anyone who has the 'dynasty' itch.Posted at 7:26AM on Aug 16th 2008 by Mullins

I can't say I've ever played a DW game but thanks for the warning about this one. In any event it is always nice to see more console games ported to the PC, especially such a japenese style game which are pretty rare for our platform.
