Radical Entertainment cuts 100 jobs


The effects of the Activision Blizzard merger continue to be felt, even at development studios have have been spared the chopping block. The latest development is being reported by the Vancouver Sun web site where the local development studio Radical Entertainment has confirmed it will reduce its team by a whopping 100 members and cut its game development from four to two titles.

Radical's two remaining development teams will work on the new Crash Bandicoot title for the new Activision Blizzard as well as the long awaited open world action game Prototype that's currently scheduled for a 2009 release date. Plans for a sequel to the best selling Scarface: The World is Yours open world action game have apparently been cancelled, according to a Variety story.
