NCSoft records loss for latest financial quarter
As per usual, the majority of NCSoft's sales came from its home country of Korea via its Lineage ($27.2 million) and Lineage II ($33.6 million) game titles. City of Heroes/Villains and Guild Wars brought in $5.5 million and $4.9 million in revenues, respectively, while Tabula Rasa only brough in $1.9 million for the quarter. NCsoft's only major new game launch for 2008 will be the fantasy MMO Aion which will be released in Korea late this year.

Sounds abour right for NCSOFT. Though they say they have the most paid accounts in any mmorpg for lineage 2 around 14-17 million PAID accounts, yet are losing money. That makes no sense.
This year a lone they ripped off whats left of their american and euro servers during their server transfers and then merging the servers. ERR why could they have not just merged first then open transfers. WAIT they needed to suck as much possible from whats left of their player base.
NCSOFT runs their games horrible, there is zero customer support. I played Lineage 2 for 2 and a half years customer support is a joke. THEY ALLOW mass botting and during my time even talked to many farmers who said they got their accounts for free to kick back some of the money made for selling adena.
NCSOFT is just a baddly run company.
Whats left of their american and Euro servers are barely making 1500 players at PEAK times now. I know of Private lineage 2 servers that can do that easy

Hopefully they can turn it around. I like the idea of a having a specialized MMO publisher in the frey. It forces them to a have a diversified line-up of MMOs available which is good considering that every game wants to be WoW these days.
