Funcom fires employee for having cyber sex with player
Funcom responded promptly to the situation, stating that they are "aware of this matter, and necessary measures have been taken" against the offending GM. Funcom was firm in asserting that it maintains strict behavior protocol for all staff and that "if the guidelines are broken there are consequences."
Like an undercover sting operation, much of the dialogue between the GM and the player hints that the encounter might have been pre-meditated in order to definitively catch the GM in the act of disobeying employee guidelines.

Kind of nice to see that someone is watching the watchers. Overall I don't see this as being too newsworthy though it is funny.

You know how this stuff works out... cybersex, then the GM showers the player with gifts of currency and gear. Then he finds out the chick is a dude and things get ugly.Posted at 3:13PM on Aug 11th 2008 by Steven Wong
What's the big deal?
That has to be the worst Cyber Sex sessions I've ever heard of. Both of them were just joking and being social. I do that type o' stuff with DMs all the time, just for the laughs.
It's like firing a bank clerk for joking with client.
Eesh.
Well now I know I'm not gona buy AoC. There are no cool DMs left.Posted at 11:36AM on Aug 20th 2008 by Hiisi
