In 2002 European based Larian Studios released the acclaimed fantasy RPG Divine Divinity. After several years of waiting for a full sequel, the developer has finally announced plans to release Divinity 2: Ego Dracois, in 2009. Along with the announcement from the game's publisher DTP Entertainment comes the game's teaser web site with the first screenshots (reproduced here).
The game has the player take on the role of a Dragon Slayer and as they progress through the game's single player storyline they evolve in their abilities to become a full fledged Dragon Lord. We don't know what a Dragon Lord is supposed to really be like but sign us up anyway; it sounds like a pretty good gig. Divinity 2 will feature extensive questions, lots of weapons and items to use and of course lots of enemies, human and creature, to fight off.

Way cool. Despite having one of the worst names in gaming history, the original was a pretty darn good game. Glad to see it make a comeback though it will have some tough competition in the form of Diablo 3.
