Rumor: Call of Duty: World at War delayed to 2009?
Activision first announced plans to release Call of Duty: World at War earlier this summer and so far it has insisted that the Treyarch developed game is due for release this fall. Electronic Gaming Monthly's rumor column a few months ago stated (before the game's official announcement) that the next Call of Duty game might not come out until February 2009.
Now the latest issue of EGM has a new installment of their monthly rumor column, stating that according to their sources Call of Duty: World at War will indeed not be released this year after all and will be pushed back to sometime in 2009. If that's true expect some questions about Activision's fall sales predictions.

I have a very hard time believing that Activison would allow one of their championed franchises to miss the (perceived) lucrative holiday season. They will probably just kick it out the door whether the game is ready or not.
