EverQuest II receives free 'Storm Break' update
As a part of EverQuest Living Legacy, an initiative launched by Sony Online Entertainment designed to resurrect interest in EQ games, EverQuest II has received Storm Break, a free update that is available now to all EQII players.
Storm Break continues the in-game Void Storms event, one of many details that comprise the Living Legacy campaign. In Storm Break, players experience "The Battle", a call-to-arms issued to all denizens of Norrath to defend their home world from a coming attack.
Players will be more easily able to keep track of one another during Storm Break via the free voice chat functionality recently integrated into EverQuest II. Additionally, other events such as the construction of Guild Halls serve to mark Norrath as a living, breathing virtual reality which SOE hopes players will continue to enjoy.

Sniff... I do kinda' miss my old EQ2 days... but then when I think about it; I'd rather just have my 2005 back instead. I hope the game lives on and grows as I found it to be much for satisfying than the other MMOs I tried but I'm sworn off now.
