EA to help market a Crysis Warhead PC?

Developer Crytek has insisted that their upcoming first person shooter Crysis Warhead could run on a PC that would cost much less than the typical high performance gaming rig. But could its publisher Electronic Arts prove that? According to a blog post on the personal site of Gamasutra editor Chris Remo, EA is considering a plan to market pre-built PCs made specifically for Crysis Warhead.

Remo got his info by chatting with an EA rep at last weekend's Comic Con. According to the post, EA is thinking about marketing PCs in the $600-800 range with several configurations that will run the game on various graphical levels. The idea is to perhaps bring in gamers who feel that it would be too expensive to buy a PC that would run the most graphics-heavy game titles. There's no word on which PC maker EA might team up with.
