Episodic game developer Telltale Games promised to reveal a new game project this week at the San Diego Comic Con and they didn't dissapoint. The Associated Press reports that Tellltale has secured the rights to do a new episodic game series based on Wallace and Gromit, the Academy Award winning animated film series from Aardman Animations.
The new series is titled Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures and will allow the player to control both wacky inventor Wallace and his understanding dog Gromit. While the animated series has been adapted for video games before, Telltale hopes this new series will be closer in spirit to the film series. A release date for the game series has not been announced.

Grew up on the three original films :DPosted at 8:14PM on Jul 25th 2008 by Haggard

Way rad. I'm normally very against using existing IPs for games but TellTale is 3 for 3 in picking unique and obscure enough IPs that I already have a fondness for. I love me some adventure games and have yet to be disappointed with anything TellTale has produced so bring it on.
I would love to see what type of fantastic world they would come up with if they were to do an original IP for a change though. They have some of the most creative minds in the industry, I want to see them put that creativity to work and something original.
