Sins of a a Solar Empire 1.1 beta to begin later today

The folks at developer Ironclad Games and publisher Stardock are getting ready to launch the 1.1 beta patch for their extremely successful space strategy game Sins of a Solar Empire. According to a post on the game's official message boards the open beta will begin sometime tomorrow.

The beta, which will be available for download only via Stardock's Impulse client, will have a number of new features, which will include improved graphics and AI, lots of unit balance changes, a new multiplayer online network and tons of other additions, changes and bug fixes. Since this is a beta it won't be an automatic download; people must be willing to download the patch and perhaps offer feedback on any issues they encounter with it.
