E3 08: Wolfenstein gameplay trailer at Activision press conference

During Activision's press conference tonight, the company had a new gameplay trailer for Wolfenstein, the next game in id Software's first person shooter series. This time the game is being co-developed by Raven Software and will feature B. J. Blazkowicz yet again shooting up Nazis. id CEO Todd Hollenshead demoed the game during the press conference.

The game will feature B.J. going up against a group of Nazis who are attempting to open up a new dimention known as "The Shroud". In a brief video that showed gameplay from the title it was clear there would be a ton of shooting, exploding buildings, evil Nazis troops and creatures with strange electrical style weapons. Hollenshead stated that the new Wolfenstein game will once again feature team based objective multiplayer similar to Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. As with id's upcoming game Rage, more info and more footage from Wolfenstein will be shown at QuakeCon later this month.
