Earlier today we reported that Activison had announced plans to release a new first person action game called Singularity. At Activision's press event tonight the company revealed more info about the title from developer Raven Software. According to the company the game will feature time as a major factor in gameplay and that that Singularity will see "controlling time in a new dimension not seen in a game before" (of course the 2007 game Timeshift also featured temporal effects as a gameplay feature)

The press conference featured a brief trailer that showed a marine industrial loading dock that was being buffeted by what looked like temporal effects that reformed broken pathways and repainted rusted ships. There were brief glimpse of what looked like special ops members shooting inside the ship. The very brief trailer really gave no info on the game's story or whether or not the game will feature the player controlling time itself. We will be following the development of Sigularity in the months ahead.
