Capcom and Warner Bros. confirm Lost Planet movie

Earlier this year we reported that screenwriter David Hayter had revealed his plans to try to bring about a Lost Planet movie. Now Variety has finally confirmed that such a project is indeed in the works with Warner Bros. Hayter, who just finished work on co-writing the script for Watchmen, will handle scriptwriting duties.

The movie, based on the Capcom sci-fi action game, will be produced by Seaside Entertainment which is co-founded by former Marvel Studios head man Avi Arad. Capcom has of course had three Resident Evil movies released and a new Street Fighter movie is in production.
