Big Download's most anticipated PC games of E3 2008: Wild Cards

In the past five days we have revealed our picks for the 25 most anticipated games that might be shown at E3 2008. However there are a number of other titles that we are looking forward to seeing at the show as well that didn't quite make the list. There are also some games that might be officially revealed at the show for the first time. Let's take a look at the wild card games that might surprise us at the show this year.

Wild Cards

Dark Void: Airtight Games and Capcom present this steampunk style shooter at E3.

Battleforge: EA's Phenomic dev team will show this innovative RTS online multiplayer game at E3.

Velvet Assassin: Replay Studios will show this WWII stealth action game at the Gamecock hotel meeting room during E3 week.


Tomb Raider Underworld: It's the latest game in the long running action-adventure series from Eidos starring classic character Lara Croft.


Lord of the Rings Conquest: Pandemic and EA present this multiplayer oriented team action game based on the J.R.R. Tolkien novels


Champions Online: We will get to see the next super hero MMO from developer Cryptic Studios at E3 at the 2K Games booth


Wheelman: Midway's action-driving game starring Vin Diesel should be an interesting game to see at the show

This is Vegas: Surreal Software and Midway present their take on the open world action game genre in an fictionalized version of Sin City.

Lego Batman: Traveller's Tales and Warner Bros. Interactive will show off some Lego action in the Dark Knight's universe

Prince of Persia: Ubisoft's next revamp of their action-adventure series should be an E3 highlight.


Tom Clancy's HAWX: We will get ballistic with this near future flying action game from Ubisoft.


Activision Blizzard titles

Activision Blizzard is scheduled to hold a press conference on Tuesday, July 15. They are likely to show off a number of their Activision based games as it's possible that they will show off some games from the new Vivendi Games side of the business. Since the company is not an official E3 exhibitor we will put their games in the wild card spot

Call of Duty: World at War: We hope to see the next WWII shooter developer Treyarch.



Wolfenstein: Spike TV gave a huge hint that this long awaited Raven-id Software title will be shown at E3. Will it finally be revealed at the Activision press event?

Quantum of Solace: Will Activision's first James Bond game impress the journalists at the press conference?


Prototype: We hope to see this Radical developed and long awaited open world action game at the Activision press conference

World in Conflict: Soviet Assault: Massive's expansion to 2007's acclaimed RTS game could be at the Activision press conference.


Diablo III: Will the press at the press conference get to see Blizzard's action-RPG for themselves? Maybe.

Starcraft II: It could be the biggest PC game of all time. Will the press conference showcase the game? Fingers crossed . .

Of course there are bound to be surprises that we don't know about yet at E3 2008 and in a couple of days we will bring it all to you. We hope to see all of these titles and more at the event.
