GCube Ventures hopes to fund game related start-up companies

Even as the game industry booms, there are still some companies that would love to be able to access money to begin their businesses. Venture Beat reports that a new Los Angeles based company called GCube Ventures is aiming to do just that

Founded by global investment manager Jawad Ansari and former THQ executive Shiraz Akmal, the article claims that this new company won't just help to fund game developers but also related companies like digital game distrubution, middleware development software and even schools to train new game developers. Details on GCube have yet to be revealed but the article states that more info on their first deals will be announced in the coming weeks. The deals will include partners from venture capital firms and big media companies.
