There's nothing quite like an rumored announcement for a Blizzard game sequel to boost sales of older games in the series. That's exactly what happened with the Diablo Battle Chest on the NPD Group's latest list of the top 10 best selling PC games in the US for the week ending June 28. The collection of Diablo, Diablo II and the expansion pack Lord of Destruction came in at number 10 for the week. This was a few days before the widely expected announcement of Diablo III.The rest of the top test is full of EA Maxis titles with Spore Creature Creator staying at number one for the second straight week and four Sims 2 titles in the top 10 as well. Three other Blizzard titles are in the top 10 as well. Despite a ton of hype, Atari's survival horror revamp Alone in the Dark failed to make the top 10 for the PC platform in its debut week.
- 1. Spore Creature Creator - Maxis/EA
- 2. The Sims 2 IKEA Home Stuff - Maxis/EA
- 3. The Sims 2 Double Deluxe- Maxis/EA
- 4. World Of Warcraft: Battle Chest- Blizzard
- 5. Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures - Funcom/Eidos
- 6. World Of Warcraft- Blizzard
- 7. The Sims 2 FreeTime - Maxis/EA
- 8. The Sims 2 Kitchen & Bath Interior Design Stuff - Maxis/EA
- 9. Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare- Activision
- 10. Diablo Battle Chest - Blizzard

Because Diablo is THAT awesome.
To be honest Alone in the Dark is a very underrated game,is somehow frustrating but it's very cool,It just needs a few patches here and there.Posted at 12:17PM on Jul 8th 2008 by Mr.ESC
