Take on Shinra as AVALANCHE

Final Fantasy VII is the starting point of many a gamer's journey into the dark bowels of the medium. Much like a few games that came before it, like Chrono Trigger or Sonic the Hedgehog, Final Fantasy VII is a gateway drug for many who play games today. It is with this in mind that we found AVALANCHE, a beat-'em-up based on the Final Fantasy VII universe.

Taking control of Tifa as she fights many enemies and characters from the game, it's rather impressive, especially considering that everything except the music was made by a single person. As far as beat-'em-ups go, it's quite good, despite the fact that it's for the PC, which is not a platform known for its exceptional beat-'em-ups. At a hefty 300 mb, it's way larger than most indie games we feature on Big Download, but it's definitely worth it. Try it out and tell us what you think!
