We have been wondering why in the wild, wild world of sports why Toshiba is going to be an exhibitor this year at the invite only E3 2008. Now we may have figured out at least part of that puzzle. According to the web site Logictv.com Toshiba plans to launch a new gaming oriented PC laptop on July 14, which just happens to be the first day of the expo.
As you can see, the web site has what they are calling "exclusive" pictures of the laptop, titled the Qosmio X305. According to the article the laptop will have up to 4 GB of RAM, an Intel 3Ghz dual core mobile processor, an Nvidia graphics chip with 1GB of memory, two hard drives with 200 GB each, a 17 inch monitor, two HDMI monitor ports and four speakers and a sub-woofer. There's no word yet on a price but we don't expect this puppy to be cheap.

^ Very true, though it is hard to really know what we're looking at until they let us know exactly what Nvidia GPU it is packing and a price for the whole thing.
I kind of wish that more gaming laptops were more... well... portable. Make a 14" version with a good mid range GPU and I would swoon. I'm just not in the market for 17", 12lb monsters.

Decent specs, if you really really want portable gaming (and have the cash to back that up). But even then, the battery life will probably only be about an hour.Posted at 10:46AM on Jun 16th 2008 by Haggard
