Gamasutra reports that Animax Entertainment has appointed Sabri Sansoy, former vice president of interactive technology at Game Show Network, to its position of Chief Technology Officer.
"Animax is a leader in building cutting edge interactive applications with a robust portfolio of innovation, exceptional talent, and exciting business opportunities in the pipeline " said Sansoy. "I am very honored and excited to contribute to the growth and success of this company."
Sansoy's role at Animax will entail managing the development of original games, publishing, and leading development of MMOs and other virtual worlds.
During Sansoy's time at Game Show Network, his team was a four-time emmy nominee for their contributions to interactive television. Sansoy's duties at GSN encompassed leading "a cross-functional team of domestic and offshore employees in the research and development of innovative technologies to support multiplatform initiatives," according to Gamasutra.
