Funcom hypes Age of Conan sales (again)

Wow. It feels only like last week that Funcom promoted the first sales of their just released fantasy MMO Age of Conan. Oh, wait. It was only last week. Well, today Funcom sent out yet another press release hyping up the sales of their game, stating that their new game is " . . . number 1 on the charts."

Of course when you read the announcement you see that the game is number on on the PC sales charts for countries outside the US. In Germany the game is not only the number one best selling PC game but the number one best selling game period, regardless of format. In the UK, Age of Conan was number two on the all-format chart, beaten only by Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto IV. Norway and Sweden also have the game as the number one seller on all formats while Australia has it at number two on the all format charts. Spain and Italy have the game as number on on the PC sales charts. As far as sales in the US, official numbers have yet to be released but Funcom states, " . . . the initial results bodes well for the game's future."
