So where's the next Enemy Territory: Quake Wars patch?
Splash Damage's multiplayer sci-fi shooter Enemy Territory: Quake Wars got solid reviews when it was released last October but sales of the game haven't been quite as high as first anticipated. While the game is still being ported to the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles, PC owners have been awaiting news of a new patch for the game. At the official Quake Wars community web site word has come down that the 1.5 patch is taking a little longer that first planned.
Why? Well, it seems the game's publisher Activision is no longer available to test any new patches for the game. That means Splash Damage is funding the development of the 1.5 patch all by themselves. The patch is still set for release this month and in the coming weeks expect an updated Quake Wars SDK along with a final version of the Quake Wars competition mod. It's good to know that Splash Damage isn't forgetting the fans of the game and will continue to support Quake Wars on their own time and money.
